Open Question: Ear piercings bled after taking them out for the first time?

It's been 6 weeks since I got my piercings, but after I took the studs out and tried putting in a new earring (gold plated brass), it hurt a LOT and I had trouble finding the other end of the hole. It basically took like 8 tries before I got it. Then when I put the studs back in, the back of it bled a lot. I cleaned it with Claire's solution and now it's feeling warm. I'm just wondering if this is normal and whether or not I can get an infection like this? I made sure I wiped down everything with alcohol every time before putting the studs and earrings in.

Open Question: Prom outfit too casual?

Before you tell me to choose a long dress i would like to say that I am only 5 feet tall though otherwise proportional thus a long dress would look quite ridiculous on me if I were to stand next to someone. I don't like short puffy dresses because they seem to typical and scratchy if you get my drift. I'm wearing an outfit tomorrow for school it was going to be a pair of Silver Glitter Chuck Taylor's, A Denim Levi's Buttondown Shirt, Some BDG High Rise Skinny Jeans, and A Jean Vest that I bleached, A Gold Necklace, and some earrings and that's about it is that cute, or at least look good.

Open Question: Could my cartilage piercing be infected?

I got it done in October of 2011 and when I finally ran out of the Claire's stuff they gave me, I alternated using hot water with sea salt and hot water with a cap full of peroxide. At one point it hurt, but when I switched from silver to gold, it felt much better (this was after two months or so). It hasn't had any pus at all, but today as I took it out to clean it and was going to put it back in, it bled a bit. Could this just be because I had slept on it and probably tugged at it (that has happened and made it hurt a bit, but its never bled before) or could it be from infection? It doesn't even hurt to take the earring out or to put it back in.
